We will meet at the Manhattan Beach Pier and walk south on the Strand to the Hermosa Beach Pier and then return. Along the way, we will provide water and first aid stations as well as a few surprises.
We are walking to raise funds for The Friendship Circle and for our education system.
- The Friendship Circle: An organization devoted to making a dramatic difference in the lives of children with special needs and their families through one-on-one peer mentoring and social recreational programming.
- Education Foundations: Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes. The Foundations use these funds to retain vital curriculum, maintain smaller class sizes, upgrade technology and develop high-quality programs not provided by the state.
